Waypoint Release 17 is out now! This Release is a true milestone for the Waypoint team and, as we believe, specially for those who use it as much as we do. First, because in this Release we’ve taken Waypoint out of beta. Second, because we’ve leapfrogged the interaction design, adding intuitive wizards for your project and team setup. And third, because we’ve radically improved the landing page.
Out of beta
… but not finished, of course. Bugs have been taken care of, and the user experience is getting smoother and cleaner every week. We will continue adding new releases on a monthly basis, adding more features, further improvements, and taking into consideration all the feedback we’re receiving from the growing user base. Let us know what you would like to see happening in Waypoint, so we can continue to make it work better for you and your team!
Wizards
It’s now a lot easier to get your projects up and running. We’ve added a Project wizard which leads you through the 7 steps needed for the initial project set up. You won’t even notice that you move through different sections of the database, you’ll just be doing what you need to do. And the beauty is, as soon as you prefer to skip a step or if you wish to stop the process altogether, you can do so and finish later.
A similar Wizard is also accessible from the landing page to assemble your team
Landing Page
The landing page has been redone completely. It now allows you to see right after login which Tasks are assigned to you (from all projects you currently work on), your list of favorite projects for easy access and your time registrations for the current week. The landing page also features an activity stream, so you can easily see what has been happening in your projects lately… Just the kind of information most of us like to see on a dashboard for our project work.
We feel that again, we’ve taken a great step forward and hope you do enjoy the direction we’re heading at. We look forward to hearing from you. Enjoy your lean journey!
